The food was very good, the portions just right and the service exquisite (had reserved a table for two and asked for a somewhat romantic ambience - received a table that was a little more isolated, a simple but great table decoration and a sparkling wine as an aperitif). We were completely thrilled and would like to come back! :)

We recommend! The food was delicious and the waitresses were very, very friendly - great location! As a dog owner, you feel in good hands, the dog was looked after with treats, water and lovely words.

Enjoy your meal. Good service. Now you prefer to sit in front of the bar. And strollers walking next to the eating. But still worth it.

While browsing through the menu of the day, I came across the savoy cabbage wraps with mushroom filling, which were really very good. We found it very good that the landlord and his wife think about vegan dishes. He also recommended a vegan feta and honeydew melon salad, which went well with the wraps. Very personal hospitality, treats for the dog and great service make everything perfect here! A warm thank you God from Landshut - we'll be back!

The restaurant is in the city center, minutes walk from our stay at the Donauhof. This place was recommended by the hotel for its Bavarian food. Very much worth a dinner!

I love him. In the middle of the town square, a few seconds from the underground car park. The toilets are also very clean, where I personally attach great importance to them. Very friendly and eager staff continues to do so. Now the most important thing: Even after the 20th visit not a single time to say that the food didn't taste that good. It is always a pleasure for me to eat there.

I ate a US entrecote. It was delicious. The sweet potato fries to. It was consistently pleasant and tasty. The broth was freshly cooked and also very tasty. All in all a good restaurant with friendly service and a very pleasant atmosphere.

Really good Bavarian cuisine with generous portions, but there are also small portions without loss of quality. The ambience fits, the service was very quick and good, a place was suggested after the welcome, there is a wide range of hot and cold dishes. The prices are quite cheap for me as a Munich resident. Centrally located, but you have to walk a few steps. Nearby parking spaces are apparently rather scarce.

One of my favourite place in Deggendorf. When somebody come to visit me , I take him to Goldener Engel, where we can eat something tipical Bavarian. Top service and top quality,prices in the right range. I really raccomended this place.

The Goldener Engel changed a lot in the last few years. I don't know if it is the chef or something else, but it's sometimes a dice game to get what you want. But all in all a really nice place to go out for eating!
